When I began my coaching with Adam, I felt very lost. Though I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted instead, I had realised that I was no longer content with pursuing a career in the arts. The idea of stepping away from a path I had invested so much time and energy into, 14 years of my life, was terrifying. It felt like I was abandoning everything I had worked for, my entire identity had been built around the arts, it was all I’d ever known. I was concerned about whether I would regret my choice, whether I could succeed in a totally new industry, and whether I would have to start from scratch. I was more afraid of failing than anything else; what if I wasn't good enough? Adam helped me realise that my passion for law had always been there, even if fear had held me back. He enabled me to overcome the mental obstacles I developed over the years by demonstrating to me that my critical thinking, creativity, and communication abilities were not only qualities in the arts but also ones that would be useful in the field of law. Our coaching sessions taught me to reframe my journey as bravely pursuing the career I actually desired, rather than as "giving up" on one aspiration. Adam gave me the courage to take the risk, believe in my skills, and understand that change isn't failure but rather progress.

Before working with Adam, I was struggling to find enjoyment in my day job, resulting in a lack of motivation but a deep desire for change. By following Adam's holistic approach to coaching, I was able to consider how my passions, both inside and outside of work, and outlook on life might align with my skills to give me a greater sense of purpose. Through his deep knowledge of goal setting and critical thinking strategies, Adam was able to help me consider what kind of leader I might like to be and how I can utilise my relationships with others to develop impetus for positive change. With Adam's help, I now feel more able to identify new opportunities within my role in order to continue building a career driven by passion and intention.

Working with Adam has been an absolute game-changer for me. Before we began our sessions, I felt overwhelmed and unsure about how to navigate my portfolio career; I had multiple interests and skill sets, but no clear direction on how to align them into something meaningful and sustainable. I was lost in the chaos of trying to do everything, with no clear path forward. From the very first session, Adam helped me see things from a completely different perspective. His creative approach and warm demeanour helped me gain self awareness and a better growth mindset, as well as cut through the noise and focus on what truly matters. He didn’t just help me create a roadmap for my career, he empowered me to believe in my own abilities and trust my instincts. Through our work together, I gained clarity on my purpose, values, and the best way to manage all of my passions to build a thriving portfolio career. I now feel confident in my choices, and I approach each project with a sense of clarity and direction that I never had before. My work and passions have transformed from a chaotic and uncertain jumble into a well-balanced, fulfilling journey. What I appreciate most about Adam is his unwavering support and belief in my potential, across all of my many passions. I’m beyond grateful for his expertise and am excited about the future I’m now confidently building. If you're feeling stuck or unclear about your career path, I cannot recommend Adam enough. He will guide you from confusion to clarity, just like he did for me!

I was facing a total maelstrom of thoughts and feelings about the next 20+ years of my life and significant amounts of negative thoughts about what I “should have done earlier The overlap between work and home life and that my work for the past 20 years was not satisfying me enough.  I had built up perhaps 7-10 years of a slow depressive state, I had made the decision to start on medication for depression, anxiety and mood. I also decided to leave my workplace of 18 years in order to reset and change my life.  Our sessions repeatedly focussed on identifying goals that could enable me to realise work I needed to be doing. “Need” was often based on what made me tick, what got me into the zone and got me satisfied.  The sessions came up at a time when I was comfortably unemployed using severance pay from a previous job, but at a time when I was dreaming about what I might want to do.  It has helped create clarity in the goals/ desires to work within a very specific area, that of hands-eyes-brain. To problem solve, be practical and see clear short-term outcomes from immediate efforts using tools and my hands. I have been able to further focus on the key goal of being satisfied following my efforts - and those efforts needed to be hand-eye-brain specifically using hand tools to achieve an outcome.  In the end, definitely partly as a result of the sessions I am now 2 months into a very practical job which I love.  I enjoyed your strategy of using the vision, the perfect end goal in terms of changing the way I was thinking about whether I could have hobbies or whether I needed to be earning money doing what makes me tick. The sessions repeatedly allowed me to explore my own thoughts, feelings and visions and you had to be very good at listening, but then even better at summarising (in succinct sentences/ lists) what I had rambled on about for 5 minutes! I don't think i've come away with understanding transferrable skills. If we did spend time on this then I apologise!  But then I don’t remember going / coming in with that desire, necessarily.  In fact, the skills I used for 18 years in academia do not overlap very well I don’t think to what I wanted to move towards/ have ended up doing. I've managed to secure multiple jobs that allowed me to earn money being more practical and using my hands, eyes and brain to achieve tasks, much of this has been because of further clarity from the sessions we had. The most recent work is exactly suited to roles we identified as being key to my goal of self-satisfaction in my working day. Discussions we had focussed on how to mix personal satisfaction and values with working/ earning money - some of this has come to fruition...and some is providing future goals. Coaching has provided further focus on my need for satisfaction and knowledge of results of my work and shaped the types of things I am now earning money doing. Not sure anything comes to mind here... The concepts of the final goal we established still seem out of reach, but at least the discussions we had have further highlighted the elements that are in and out of my control, so to speak. Be prepared for extensive self reflection and soul searching around what it is that makes you tick.  Adam helped me to work through years of self reflection and my ramblings into tangible goals that have borne fruit in terms of paid work, but more importantly made me further realise what makes me tick as a human and what will make me satisfied and happier as a result.

I have sought Adam’s expertise as a coach on several occasions. His direct, empathic, proactive but gentle approach has helped me discover a more empowered version of myself. Adam is a kind, engaged coach who balances advice and solutions with a lightness of touch that allows the focus to remain on the client’s true needs and goals. It’s sometimes hard to know where you want to go, let alone figure out how to get there… Adam has helped me do both. I’ve approached him at several key crossroads moments in my life, and had I not done so, I think I would have really struggled to move forward. I’m so grateful for his insight, wisdom and generosity of spirit. He’s also very funny, which helps!

Adam is a brilliant, thoughtful and caring coach - and I would recommend him to anyone seeking guidance, support, a critical friend or sounding board. He has had a profound and positive impact on me and my career and someone I could turn to when I needed an outside perspective.

We were lucky enough to have Adam work with our final year Drama and Performing Arts students, helping them to identify and consolidate the skills developed in their degree. In the sessions, Adam and the students considered innovative and creative ways of applying and promoting their abilities. From the very first meeting, Adam demonstrated his excellent ability to adapt to the needs of different students, and to think critically and creatively in the moment to help extend their reasoning and provide questioning or tasks that expanded the student’s understanding of what is possible and how they achieve their aspirations. Before working with our students 1:1, Adam ran an introductory session that helped to contextualise their current activity and career focus with that of others entering the industry. During this session, Adam was encouraging, positive, and inquisitive, supporting the students to engage with themselves and their passions in ways that challenged their responsibility and that of others around them. The 1:1 sessions with Adam were well received and students noted the way in which the sessions utilised creative methods to think innovatively about their next steps and how to achieve them. Adam is incredibly knowledgeable and his background in both the creative sector and HE offers a unique point of engagement for students, allowing them to feel confident that he understands their current position and where they are going next. With his adaptable style, Adam was able to find points of collaboration and critical reflection for each student, enabling them to develop more clarity and clearer intentions for the career aspirations. We have been thoroughly impressed with Adam’s work and the impact it has had on the students. We would absolutely recommend Adam’s coaching for any young adult looking to make their first steps into their chosen career. He is kind, thorough, and encouraging, offering the perfect environment for making important life decisions. Being able to position future thinking alongside reflections on sense self, recounting of learning, and recognising the pressures of the current moment of change, Adam offered the students a supportive and creative space to think about multiple different things at once, nuturing clarity in their decision making.
